Dear Explorer

That's me, Luca, here to share to you some fresh material about our beloved 'Must be a Dragon' rpg.

We’ve got a lot of arts, drafts, studies for the characters and settings. They’re so beautiful that we are happy to post them, even if they’re not finished or maybe the character shifted in another direction.
One of them is the studio for Irene, our fierce heroine. There were more than one version of her, and even if we love her corebook features, we appreciate the beautiful work that is behind her.
 

Here you can see a lot of Irenes, every one of them seems to be part of a different story, inspires our imagination and takes us to a different journey towards the mysterious dragon.

#12 AND...IF I DON'T WANT TO PLAY A NAPOLEONIC SETTING?

Hello guys, how are you? Today we speak about THE SETTING!

As you know, Must Be a Dragon corebook includes a section about the setting, a 1800s Europe where dragons exist and hide themselves in the most disparate places. This section, made up of letters, newspaper articles and journal pages contains the story of some explorers (such as Irene) and their families or of the political and historical events, first of all Napoleon Bonaparte, who knew about their existence and wanted to find them.

The rules section is divided into Scenes, and each has five questions to answer. The opening scene concerns the creation of the explorer, and the following ones, their adventure in search of the dragon. Although there are examples and suggestions to better set the adventure in this specific century, you are not obliged to set your game in Napoleonic Europe.

Let's see some alternative ideas:

• A high fantasy setting in which dragons play an important role (Like Dragon Age, Skyrim ...)
• An apocalyptic setting where dragons came from other planets or are mysterious entities.
• A futuristic setting where technology is the basis of everything and could be dragons digital representations of the power or secrets of humanity
• A horror setting where dragons are dark and cruel, for a reason unknown to all.
• And many more...

The author of Must Be a Dragon, Andrea Carbone, has a lot of ideas for alternative settings that will be shared with you and that we can play together on our Discord Server when the project is funded.

Today there is a juicy update for you!

We've added a new pledge: 'The Return of the Dragon', which allows everyone to save money and get everything at the same time! 

It is exactly as the pledge 'The Dragon's Secret' (Early Bird for the first 72h) and will be avaliable until the end of this campaign. This new pledge is 60 € (and not 65 €) and includes:

• Your name in the backers page!
• Must Be a Dragon RPG (PDF)
• Must Be a Dragon RPG (Hardcover)
• The Explorer Kit (10 Scenes + 10 Tracks sheets, 1 Narrator Token)
• Set of 40 Scale Tokens
